With customer adoption of smartphones increasing, the way gamblers interact with the online gambling services is changing extremely fast. First, the PC allowed customers to bet from home, without any need to physically going to a casino. Now, the raise of mobile gambling allows gamblers to place their bets any moment, anywhere through their mobile devices.

As a consequence of this, the gambling industry has been growing in a new direction during the last two years. The use of the mobile gambling services offered by the betting operators has grown up to 150% in the last year. At the same time, in 2013 some operators like William Hill and Paddy Power reported up to 50% of their sportsbook revenue coming from their online services offered for mobile devices, up from just around 20% back in 2011.

Experts predict the gambling yields to more than double in 2015. We can talk about £4.7 billion revenue in 2012 for the global gambling industry. It’s predicted to be around £11 billion in 2015.
At the same time, the global spend in gambling per adult is also increasing rapidly in Europe, and even though it’s not this fast in Asia, the tendency is also to grow.

Mobile casinos are predicted to generate more than 15% of revenue of the whole mobile gambling market this year. As the CEO of Paddy Power said, “Mobile betting is the highest growth area of the UK Gambling market”.
