Distraction is a factor in 80% of the crashes in the US! That makes distracted driving a major problem for the US roads. A lot of drivers don’t understand how dangerous it is to drive distracted but it is – distracted driving is extremely dangerous! The numbers of highway deaths were 32,885 in 2010; there were about 3,092 deaths in crashes involving distracted drivers. Research suggests 80% could have involved driver distraction which is very scary statistic.

There a lot of distractions while driving, for example: eating, drinking, texting, talking on the phone, using GPS, talking to passengers, changing the radio station, etc. There is another scary statistic about distracted driving, texting while driving increases the risk of accident 23.2 times over the unimpaired driver. Distraction is a growing problem and we need to act now!
