Your driver’s license is a milestone that you should prepare for accordingly. There is a specific process for getting a license by following the below steps.

  1. Prepare for the written test by completing a practice exam
  2. Make an appointment at your nearest DMV office
  3. Fill out the Driver License Application (Form DL 44) for a Class C driver’s license
  4. Complete the vision test
  5. Complete the written knowledge test
  6. Provide the required documents and ID
  7. Have thumbprint and ID photo taken
  8. Pay the fee
  9. Receive your learner’s permit
  10. Practice driving with a licensed driver over 18 years old
  11. Schedule your road test
  12. Arrive for the test with a vehicle plus proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  13. Pass the road test
  14. Receive a temporary license that is valid for 90 days
  15. Receive your new Class D license via U.S. mail (within 60 days)
