According to this expert-led research, eating bugs – otherwise known as entomophagy – could help to save the planet by relieving the pressure put on mass meat production. In fact, common insects like crickets are said to be twenty times more efficient as a protein source than cattle.

While this diet might make your skin crawl, plenty of others are willing to try it. The majority of Asia’s and Africa’s population already practice entomophagy, while a staggering 72% of the USA say they would be open to the idea. Would you eat bugs to save the planet?
