Squirrels are getting very active and start building their nests right before the winter. There are two main types on squirrel nests, the first one is built in a tree cavity and the second one is on the tree branches. However, some squirrels in urban areas prefer to build nests in attics. While most people think squirrels are ‘cute’ anyone who has had the critters break into the attic would be hard-pressed to agree. Squirrels breaking into the attic can be a nightmare from never-ending scratching and scurrying in the ceiling, destroyed insulation and the smell that comes with wildlife.
