There’s one word that can put fear into any homeowner’s mind: mold. Beyond being a respiratory health issue, mold removal can be a costly endeavor. Surprisingly, mold is actually around us all the time. It is most prevalent outdoors where it plays a role in nature by breaking down felled trees, leaves and other organic matter. Invisible to the human eye, airborne mold spores can make their way inside. Once they’re there, the don’t necessarily grow and spread. For that to happen certain conditions must exist.
